WEST LINN – Two members of the Celtic group, Talisman, will be performing for “Music in the Stacks” at the West Linn Public Library on Monday, December 8, at 6:30 p.m. The hour?long concert is free and open to the public.
Carl Thor, playing hammered dulcimer, and Rich Goss, playing guitar, are members of the group Talisman. They play a blend of blend of Celtic, New England, Appalachian, and original tunes and songs. Known for its imaginative arrangements, the band draws on 300 years of dance music and songs from the Celtic and American folk traditions, at times seamlessly weaving old tunes into modern songs.
