
It’s almost time to go back to school! Stop by the library to grab a book from our display of Back-to-School books.
Thanks to everyone who participated in the Adult Summer Reading Program! More than 40 people signed up, and seven lucky winners were picked during Monday’s grand prize drawing. A binder of the postcard book reviews is available for patrons to review.
Mark your calendars! The Friends of the Library annual used book sale is coming up in September. The sale will be held in the Community Room and will be open during library hours Friday, September 19 - Sunday, September 21.
The library is offering a new round of computer classes in September. Both of these classes require basic mouse and keyboard skills. To register for these classes, please call the library’s information desk at 503-656-7853, x6.
Thursday, September 11, 6:30 p.m. and Saturday, September 13, 9:30 a.m. Catalog & Databases Basics will cover searching for books, movies, music, etc., placing holds, renewing checked-out items, and an introduction to the library’s subscription databases.
Monday, September 22, 9:15 a.m. and Thursday, September 25, 6:30 p.m. Word Basics will teach you how to open, save, and print documents, change font and font sizes, use bold, italic, and underline, adjust margins, and use spell check.
