WEST LINN - West Linn Mayor John Kovash wants to hear from middle school students about afterschool opportunities in West Linn. Working in partnership with the Oregon Mayor's Association and Oregon ASK, the City of West Linn invites middle school students to share their creative ideas in an essay contest. Essays will be entered into a contest to win lunch with Mayor Kovash and a new laptop from the League of Oregon Cities.
Essays must be emailed to IfIWereMayor@WestLinnOregon.gov by April 20, 2012. The essay contest is open to students enrolled in middle school or being home-schooled at the middle school grade. Essays must be no more than 1,000 words in length. Essays must include the student's name, school, grade, email address, and phone number at the top of the essay.
