WEST LINN – Saturday, September 18, 2010 marked another successful Clean Up Day for the City of West Linn. Hundreds of West Linn residents cleaned house and donated more than 29,000 pounds of salable goods to Goodwill Industries.
The City provided 11 dumpsters and coordinated with Goodwill Industries to provide donation sites at five locations around the city. Neighbors gathered around coffee and donuts in the rain to support this event and dozens of volunteers staffed each site.
As in years past, many of the dumpsters were full in the first two hours of the four-hour event. Neighborhood Association presidents from Bolton, Marylhurst, Robinwood, Rosemont Summit, and Sunset Neighborhoods were instrumental to the success of the event.
