Two More Arrests in Robbery/Kidnap of Columbia Sportswear Chairman

WEST LINN - In the course of the investigation of the home invasion robbery/kidnapping additional arrests have been made. West Linn Police arrested Ramon Alberto MIDENCE (41 of Beaverton) on Sunday, November 14, 2010 in connection with the home invasion robbery/kidnapping of Gert Boyle, Chairman of the Board of Columbia Sportswear. MIDENCE was lodged at  Clackamas County Jail on Burglary I, Robbery II, Coercion, and Assault IV charges, he is being held in lieu of $500,000 bail. On Monday, November 15, 2010, Jose Luis AREVALO (47 of Aloha) was arrested on Kidnapping I and Conspiracy to Commit Kidnap charges, he is also being held at Clackamas County Jail in lieu of $500,000 bail. Investigators from the WLPD as well as the Clackamas Major Crimes Team are working tirelessly processing the evidence collected in this case. Nestor Gabriel Cabellero Guitierrez: • Kidnapping in the First Degree • Criminal Conspiracy (2 counts) • Burglary in the First Degree • Kidnapping in the Second Degree • Robbery in the Second Degree • Solicitation (3 counts) • Coercion • Assault in the Fourth Degree Ramone Midence: • Kidnapping in the First Degree • Criminal Conspiracy (2 counts) • Burglary in the First Degree • Kidnapping in the Second Degree • Robbery in the Second Degree Jose Luis Arevalo: • Kidnapping in the First Degree • Criminal Conspiracy (2 counts) • Burglary in the First Degree • Kidnapping in the Second Degree • Robbery in the Second Degree All three men are being held in lieu of $500,000 bail.
