Local Individual Check: No fee
The West Linn Police Department will on request provide you with your history of contacts with the West Linn Police Department, but not anyone else's. To request your own history you may contact the Records Division in person. Bring picture identification.
You may also submit your request in writing. You must include a certified, notarized copy of your photo ID. You must include your full name, aliases, address (length of time you resided there) telephone number, race, sex, driver's license number, birth date, date of the request and your signature. If the letter is to be addressed specifically for another person, supply that information at the time of request.
Oregon State Background Check: Fee involved
If you want a statewide background check, or a check on someone else, you can purchase a Complete Criminal History (CCH) from the Oregon State Police, Identification Services Section, (503-378-3073 or 541-726-2536). Official fingerprints are required when requesting a copy of your own criminal history. Note: Anyone can order a CCH on anyone else, but the person investigated must be notified in writing by OSP. If you have lived in a variety of locations throughout the country, you will need to contact the police departments in those jurisdictions to determine their requirements.
Warrants:
If you believe you have a warrant for your arrest, you need to contact the appropriate court or appear in person at a local law enforcement agency. No information on warrants is released over the telephone.
