Plan the Heart of West Linn

This project will create a viable master plan and implementation strategy for the Arch Bridge/Bolton Town Center that is at the Heart of West Linn.

The City kicked off the project with the City Council on January 27, 2014.  The project will be guided by an advisory committee comprised of various community members that will meet throughout 2014.  A technical committee with staff from various agencies will also provide input and guidance.

There will be numerous opportunities for public input throughout the year including surveys, a storefront studio in April, community workshops, and an open house.

The Existing Conditions report was presented to the City Council on April 14, 2014.  A progress report memo and presentation with draft recommendations and concepts was presented to the Council and Planning Commission in a joint meeting on July 8, 2014.  A draft plan will be reviewed by the City Council before the end of 2014.  Any required regulatory changes are expected in early 2015.

The project is funded through a $220,000 Metro Community Planning and Development grant, which is funded through the construction excise tax.  The City is providing an $80,000 in-kind match.
