WEST LINN – The West Linn Parks and Recreation Department is hosting an open house at Robinwood Park on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 11:00 a.m., celebrating the completion of the current plans for the park. Following a brief ceremony, children can enjoy the entertainment of local juggler “Mag” Hughes, face painting by Kim Millen, balloons, and family lawn games. Bring your picnic or “relish” a hotdog lunch, served until 1:00 pm, or as long as food is available.
The newest park amenities include restrooms and the city's fourth splash pad. Prior development phases produced the playground, basketball court, skate area and a paved walking path. The restrooms at Robinwood Park were one of several Parks Department projects funded through the Metro 2008 Natural Areas Bond Measure Local Share Projects.
