The West Linn Parks and Recreation Teen Advisory Committee is a volunteer group of West Linn middle & high school students who are working with the West Linn Parks & Recreation Department staff to improve the quality of life for teens in our community. WLP&R TAC members are active, energized students who are trying to make a difference.
Active involvement of TAC members is essential to making activities happen for teens in West Linn. TAC members must be willing and able to attend meetings and provide at least 12 hours of volunteer service during the year. TAC members are teens working for teens!
The top action areas are listed below.
Awareness: Get the word out to teens about what is happening. TAC can help with creative ways to get the word out.
Activity: No one knows teens like other teens. Provide input for new classes, events, and opportunities to make them as successful as possible.
Service: Teens are important to the community. This committee identifies opportunities to volunteer together and spreads the word to encourage others to participate too!
Policy: Have a TAC member willing to serve as a liaison to the West Linn Parks and Recreation Advisory Board. This will help us keep our pulse on any politics in the community which we would/should be made aware and to share news about teen programs.
