City now offering Drivers Education

WEST LINN - The City of West Linn Parks & Recreation Department  has started registering for the new 2012 Winter and Spring Drivers Education Classes.

Starting in January of 2012 the City of West Linn and Clackamas Commmunity College will be partnering to provide this ODOT approved Driver Education program. While this is a new program to the City, Clackamas Commmunity College has been a provider of this program for a number of years. The City and the West Linn/Wilsonville School District have worked together to transition the program from a school based to a City community education program. Registration forms can be found at www.westlinnoregon.gov/parksrec.  Only Paper applications will be accepted for the Drivers Education program.

Current Scheduled classroom sessions will meet at West Linn High School and consist of 11 weeks of classroom study and six 6 weeks Behind the Wheel training. Current scheduled sessions are scheduled to start on January 9 and April 3, 2012. Classroom sessions will be held from 4:15 pm – 7:15 pm. There are numerous times to select from for Behind the Wheel sessions that are scheduled separately.
