Burnside Park & Maddax Woods

Calendar Date:
Repeats every month on January, February on the third Saturday.
Saturday, December 17, 2016 - 9:00am

Burnside Park and Maddax Woods welcome your help to continue the battle against English Ivy and other invasive plants. You can volunteer to help save the beautiful trees, native plants, and animals in our wonderful nature parks. We pull the Ivy by hand and do not use any chemicals. See how fun it is to make a difference!

On the 1st Saturday of the month we hold Park Restoration Events. All individuals, families, and groups are encouraged to join in. Volunteers meet at 9:00 am  at the Maddax Woods parking area located at 5785 River Street in West Linn. The event hours are from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather.  Work gloves and any tools will be provided.

Steve Miesen and his groups have been making a big difference since 2001.

In 2013 Steve was recognized by SOLVE with their Citizenship Award for his outstanding leadership and volunteer service. All Steve's monthly events are listed on the website.
