WEST LINN- Friday night, February 26th, at the historic McLean House, four young ladies from West Linn were selected to represent their community and promote the annual tradition of the Old Time Fair. This annual community event, now in its 54th year, takes place July 16th, 17th, and 18th in Willamette Park.
About the 2010 Fair Court Princesses:
Princess Hannah is the daughter of Cynthia and Rick Hilton and attends Athey Creek Middle School.
Princess Michaela is the daughter of Barb and Tim Laughlin and is a student at Athey Creek Middle School.
Princess Ashley is the daughter Marijean and Brett Johnson and attends Rosemont Ridge Middle School.
Princess Tory is the daughter of Pam and Jim Velasquez and is a student at Rosemont Ridge Middle School.
The 2010 Fair Court Princesses along with 2009 Queen Chandler Metcalf will soon be busy with their individual service projects followed by a group project during Take Care of West Linn Day, May 15th. They will also be collecting stuffed animals for their appearance in the Oregon City Pioneer Days Teddy Bear Parade, and they will again participate in the Starlight Parade during Rose Festival week. In addition to their individual community service work projects, they will represent West Linn at city sponsored events throughout the year including both nights of the Daddy Daughter Dance, the Willamette Street Dance, West Linn Old Time Fair Parade, and the Community Tree Lighting.
“Each of these young ladies exceeded the expectations of the panel of judges with their personal presentation and speaking abilities. They’ve already made quite an impression on the Fair Court Committee with their enthusiasm and politeness.” stated West Linn Old Time Fair Court Committee Member Terri Jones.
The new West Linn Old Time Fair Queen will be announced during the Coronation on Friday, July 16th.
