West Linn Reads 2012

City of West Linn Oregon Official Website

The library has selected The Omnivore's Dilemma: A Natural History of Four Meals, by Michael Pollan for the 2012 West Linn Reads selection, which will take place during the month of February. The book is about Michael Pollan's quest to answer the question "What should we have for dinner?" What's at stake in our eating choices is not only our own and our children's health, but the health of the environment that sustains life on earth. He investigates each of the food chains that sustain us - industrial food, organic food, and food we forage ourselves - and follows them from the source to a final meal.

On February 1 we'll be giving away 100 copies of the original edition and 100 copies of the youth edition. There are also more than 15 copies of the book available in Clackamas County for check out. And just for West Linn cardholders we have three e-book copies available for check out.

Join us for events we have planned throughout the month!
