Nature of Words

Take a trip to High Desert country to take in this literary festival in Bend, Oregon. Their next event takes place November 3-7, 2010, and features guest authors Annie Lamott, Oregon’s Poet Laureate Paulann Petersen, Kent Haruf, Barry Lopez and others. Events include workshops, author readings and signings, creative writing awards and much more. The Nature of Words' stated mission is to "foster an appreciation of the literary arts and humanities in the High Desert region of the Northwest through community interaction with acclaimed authors, and through creative writing programs for the region's youth."
