Cornelia Seigneur to Speak About West Linn Book

Author of Book About West Linn History To Speak at the Public Library

WEST LINN – Cornelia Seigneur, author of Images of America: West Linn will speak at the West Linn Public Library on Monday, January 26, 6:00 p.m. She will speak about her experiences writing the book and will have copies available to sell and sign. The public is invited to attend this free event.

While working on compiling the photographs and stories found in Images of America: West Linn, Seigneur had the chance to connect with dozens of community members and local historians as well businesses, churches, schools, neighborhood associations and service organizations. She researched at historical societies, the newspaper, the library, and City Hall, and she talked to many long-time West Linn families. Seigneur sorted through thousands of photographs from private collections as well as those found in local historical museums and the library before carefully choosing the more than 200 images found in the book. Most of the photographs have never been published before.
