William Brant previously served for thirty years as a psychologist in public schools where he worked with students of all ages in many different communities. He is now a full-time photographer with a passion for traveling the world and capturing images of the landscape, art, architecture, culture, and everyday life of many places.
For the past few years, I have been studying the macro world of flowers. Stepping outside of the more concrete world of landscapes, architecture and portraiture, I've entered a much more abstract and less certain arena...in this instance, the world within a flower, and this is the realm I inhabit as a fine art photographer. My compositions are based on three key ingredients taught to me by Alan Mandell, a world renowned photographer. They are specifically: simplicity of line, harmony of proportion and equality of attention (to the entire visual field). My exhibit will also include a selection of images of the landscapes, architecture, and culture of Morocco.
