The West Linn Public Library will host an exhibit featuring the work of Whitney North during the month of October. The exhibit will run October 2-30 in the library's Community Room which is open to the public when not in use, and always open on Sundays, noon – 5:00 p.m. It is a good idea to call ahead to check if the room is being used before coming to see the art (503-656-7853).
Whitney North has been painting since high school. The subject matter of her acrylic paintings varies significantly, though her style tends towards the simplification of the subject while using pronounced coloration. She enjoys taking life on her own terms and translating it into her paintings in a way that makes the most sense to her. She tries to expand upon the world around her and express her view of its beauty in no uncertain terms and in as much color as she can.
