Help the WLPD Give Back This Holiday Season

New Shoe Drive

The West Linn Police Department is looking to partner with area residents and businesses to help those in need this holiday season.

On Sunday, Dec. 11 the Police Department is hosting a New Shoe Drive to benefit the Clackamas Women's Service, a safe place for victims of domestic violence and their children. All children sizes are needed, especially teenage shoe sizes 8-12. The event will be held from 3-5 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 11 in the old Haggen parking lot (1855 Blankenship Rd.).

Our local Police Department is looking to take 10 elementary aged children and their families shopping at Fred Myers with $200 gift cards. The Department is looking toward the business community to help support this event. The children have been nominated by their school counselors and each business that makes a donation will be partnered with a child and have the option of including a personalized Christmas card for the child. All donations will be made out to the West Linn Police Benefit Association, with the gifts being made through the Association on behalf of the West Linn Police Department. All donations must be received by 12 p.n. Wednesday, Dec. 14.
