WEST LINN – In an effort to lead Economic Development, The City of West Linn is pleased to announce a contract awarded to Danny Crossman to lead its economic development efforts. The contract was awarded after the City Council passed resolution 10-11 creating the Economic Development Committee. The City requested proposals from consultants to provide leadership, strategic planning, and support to the Economic Development Committee and Mr. Crossman was awarded the contract last week.
Mr. Crossman is the Founder of Small Business Management LLC, a local West Linn company that mentors small businesses. He has 37 years related experience as a banker, educator, and consultant, and has earned his reputation as an expert small business consultant. Most recently Danny served on the Economic Development Taskforce that was charged with the task of making recommendations to the City Council concerning the City’s role in economic development and enhancement of business prosperity.
Danny believes that “West Linn’s continued desirability as a place to live is dependent upon a dynamic, thriving local business community. Creating and implementing a viable blue-print for continuous improvement and diversification will allow West Linn’s Business Community to grow and prosper, in a manner that respects the community’s values and unique quality of life.”
The Economic Development Committee is seeking applicants to fill its ten open positions. The committee will consist of five members from business community: one representative from each of the five business areas (Willamette, Bolton, Robinwood, Cascade Summit, and home-based businesses), one representative from the Chamber of Commerce, and four members appointed by the Mayor and approved by the City Council. West Linn residents and business owners can apply online at
