City Staff has identified the section of Blankenship Road to be widened, with the addition of a bike lane, sidewalk, ramps, and street crossings with median islands. State Grant was obtained in the amount of $293,525. This is the second phase of the project; the first one – undergrounding of overhead utility wires and removal of existing PGE poles - is complete.
Staff solicited bids and the lowest responsive bidder was NW Kodiak Construction LLC with a bid of $221,366.10.
The City Council, acting as the Contract Review Board, pass a motion authorizing the City Manager to award the Blankenship Road Improvements contract to NW Kodiak Construction, LLC.
