Summary:
The resolution presented for City Council consideration allows for the work of the Economic Development Task Force (EDTF) to continue, with a revised membership to ensure that the EDTF represents the interests of the five business sectors in West Linn (Willamette, Bolton, Robinwood, Cascade Summit and home-based businesses) as well as the at-large community.
The EDTF is further directed in the resolution to work closely with the City, Chamber of Commerce, and Neighborhood Associations as the EDTF works on economic development issues in the City.
Recommended Action:
City staff recommends resolution approval so the recruitment of Economic Development Task Force (EDTF) membership and the public process for hiring a consultant to staff the EDTF can begin immediately.
