Policy Questions for Council Consideration:
The City of Oregon City competitively solicited engineering firms for environmental services with a provision for other municipalities and agencies to utilize their competitive process. West Linn participated in Oregon City’s technical review committee that selected Brown and Caldwell. By piggy-backing on the Oregon City competitive consultant selection, West Linn is able to utilize a highly qualified consultant at competitive rates, and retain the ability to utilize a single consultant in representing the interests and concerns of many of the co-permittees in the area. Costs and effort and effort will be reduced by this shared consultant.
The City Council, acting as the Contracts Review Board, pass a motion authorizing the City Manager to award the MS4-related consultant services contract to Brown and Caldwell.
