New Later Evening Trips Added on Oregon City-West Linn Shuttle

WEST LINN - ODOT will add four more trips each weekday starting Monday, Sept. 26 for later night service on the Oregon City-West Linn Bridge Shuttle. The new weeknight schedule means the last shuttle will arrive in West Linn at 11 p.m. The service is being added on a trial basis until Dec. 31, when it will be evaluated based on ridership. The added late night service comes after numerous requests from riders, many of them Clackamas Community College students whose last classes end at 9:50 p.m. and need to travel from the main campus to downtown Oregon City and on to West Linn. Ridership on the shuttle has exceeded expectations. In the first nine months of service, more than 21,000 pedestrians and bicyclists have ridden the shuttle--a daily average of more than 90 pedestrians and bicyclists. Click on this link for the new schedule. There are two shuttle stops for passenger pick-up -- one in West Linn and one in Oregon City. The West Linn stop is just east of the intersection of Willamette Falls Drive and OR 43. The Oregon City stop is located at 9th Street and McLoughlin Boulevard near the US Bank. The trip between Oregon City and West Linn travels on Interstate 205 and Main Street and takes 15 minutes each way. Before the new service was added, the shuttle operated Monday through Friday from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. The service, which will continue until completion of the bridge rehabilitation, is operated by First Student of West Linn under ODOT contract.
