West Linn Police Officer Arrests Two Subjects in Stolen Auto

Minor traffic infraction results in West Linn Officers arresting a man and female companion in a stolen auto reported out of the Portland area. On June 24, 2010 at 6:54pm, Officer Dave Heimbuck saw a red Nissan 200 travelling west on Willamette Falls Drive from the area of 19th Street. Officer Heimbuck noted it had a tail light out.  As the car approached Joseph Fields Drive it turned quickly onto it and sped away. Officer Heimbuck followed and saw the car veer into a driveway of a residence in the 1000 block of Meek Way.  The driver immediately exited the vehicle and walked to the door. Officer Heimbuck told the driver to return to his car and began to conduct a traffic stop for the equipment violation.  He was then notified by dispatch the car was reported stolen out of Portland. Officer Heimbuck was then joined by Sgt. Steve Taylor and Officer James Doolittle.  They took the driver, who identified himself with an Oregon Department of Corrections Inmate Card as James D. Whitehead (27) on Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, Possession of Controlled Substance-Meth, Carrying a concealed Weapon (brass knuckles) and outstanding warrants for Burglary 2, Criminal Mischief 2, and Theft 3, his combined bail is $73,500.  He would not say where he lived. The female passenger,  identified as Alicia Juanille Gallion (30) was also taken into custody for Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle.  Her bail is set at $15,000.  Ms. Gallion reported she has no residential address. #### Neil Hennelly, Police Sergeant/Public Information Officer  503-655-6214 ext 4498
