Cut the Red Tape

How about a little less red tape?

Cut the Red Tape: Project Purpose & Scope

The City of West Linn is working to eliminate unnecessary, inefficient regulatory barriers associated with doing business in the City, and to provide incentives to encourage more positive economic development. The City appreciates your ideas and feedback, which have been critical in ensuring that these changes are effective and respect the quality of life West Linn residents demand.

Project Purpose: In support of the City Council’s goal of promoting economic development and business activity in the City, the Cut the Red Tape project will review and modify our existing codes and processes to;

  • remove ineffectual and redundant regulatory and procedural practices that act as barriers to economic  development and businesses; and
  • incorporate best practices to streamline and provide incentives for future economic development activity in the City.

Project scope:  Seeking proactive, immediate recommendations to the City’s regulations, fees or practices that will serve to promote business activity and economic development in the community.  The focus of this project is to achieve the most impactful changes possible within the allowable timeframe.
