Patrol Division

The Patrol Division of the West Linn Police Department provides 24 hours a day, seven days a week uniformed patrol functions for the City. Sergeants and officers provide around-the-clock coverage by working one of three shifts; Days (6:00 am - 2:00 pm), Swing (2:00 pm - 10:00 pm) and Graveyard (8:00 pm - 6:00 am).  Currently, there are 6 Sergeants, who supervise 20 officers and a Community Service Officer assigned to the Patrol Division.  These Sergeants and officers are supervised by a Captain.

Duties include response to emergency and non-emergency calls, investigation of crimes, enforcement of traffic laws, apprehension of criminals, and maintaining peace and order throughout our community.
