Press release date: Mon Feb 25th, 2013
West Linn- Wednesday, February 20th the historic McLean House was again the site of the annual selection of the Old Time Fair Court.
Fifteen talented and well-spoken, West Linn 8th grade girls shared words of encouragement for one another as they interviewed and then waited for the names of the new court to be announced. Cheers erupted as 2012 Queen Bobbi O’Brien announced Natalie Bruun, Zoe Craig, Beth Hoots, and Celia Lawrence as the 2013 Old Time Fair Court.
In addition to the year of community activities and service this court has the notable honor of representing West Linn during its Centennial year. In less than a month these young ambassadors will be visible in West Linn and surrounding communities promoting the tradition of the West Linn Old Time Fair. They will each perform an individual community service project as part of their requirement for consideration of Old Time Fair Queen. The coronation takes place during the opening ceremonies of the 57th annual Old Time Fair, Friday July 20, 2013. The Fair will run through Sunday July 22nd and will include a carnival, skydivers, water skiing, car, and timber shows, parade, and two stages with entertainment.

Princess Natalie, whose parents are Scott and Alison Bruun, is a student at Rosemont Ridge Middle School where she is active in choir, yearbook, dance, and cheer. Her favorite thing about the fair is the parade and seeing the princesses and queen.
The daughter of Joe and Kristi Craig, Princess Zoe, enjoys competitive dance. Her involvement in both the Rosemont Ridge Coyote Crew and Girl Scouts give her an opportunity to mentor younger students. Zoe can be found riding the carnival rides over and over again.
The daughter of Lloyd and Kate Hoots, Princess Beth, is part of student leadership at Athey Creek Middle School. She is an active Girl Scout and serves on the West Linn Library Teen Advisory Board. Her favorite part of the Old Time Fair is the unifying experience of watching the parade with so many other West Linn citizens.
Also a student at Athey Creek Middle School, Princess Celia is the daughter of Derek and Reagan Lawrence. She intends to use her time on the court to serve the elderly and children with special needs. Celia is an accomplished violinist, gymnast, and competitive cheerleader.
