Third Thursdays

Third Thursdays are fun and creative events for young teens (grades 4-8) that focus on creativity and self-discovery. Unless noted, events are held in the Community Room on the third Thursday of the month from 4:30-6pm.

January 15: Crafternoon
Young teens will get to make two fun items that they can take home: craft glue window clings and glow-in-the-dark slime!

February 19: Salt Art
Tweens will use salt to create two kinds of art, one on black paper and one on white. You will see the different ways salt reacts to different liquids to make beautiful - and scientific - art!

March 19, early 4pm start: Swindle
Come join us for an OBOB favorite on the big screen! Based on Gordon Korman's book Swindle this movie is about a boy named Griffin who finds a valuable multi-million dollar baseball card. After accidentally selling the card for a million dollar loss, he enlists the help of his best friend Ben and his colleagues to regain the baseball card.

April 16: Harry Potter Potions Class
Can you make the grade in Snape’s potions class? Did the owl bring your admissions letter to Hogwarts? Join us as we concoct mysterious elixirs and brew restorative cordials. Get sorted into a house and head straight to class! No registration necessary, while supplies last.

May 21: Geek Out @ WPL
Join West Linn Camp Half-Blood and learn how to be a Greek god or goddess! Consult the oracle to see which god or goddess claims you along with many other activities to prepare you for the life of a demi-god! No registration necessary, while supplies last.
