The West Linn Public Library offers a series of family programs that are suitable for all ages. All events are free and open to everyone. No registration is required unless otherwise indicated.


Mad Science: Fire and Ice
Monday, April 7, 6:30pm
The land of Fire and Ice is filled with dazzling demonstrations using fire, bubbling potions, and carbon dioxide gas frozen to 109 degrees below zero. This science show will stimulate your mind and spark your imagination as you experience exciting, educational, high energy science magic! Come and see just how hot and cool science can be!

Raising Butterflies
Monday, May 5, 6:30pm
See the miracle of the butterfly life cycle up close! Learn about the amazing life cycle of one of nature's most beautiful creatures and help one little larva get to the next step. Each family will be given a caterpillar to prepare for transformation. Families can follow up with its daily changes here at the library and on Facebook. Once the butterflies have finally emerged from their chrysalides, we will have a releasing ceremony in Hammerle Park.
