A lot line adjustment is the minor adjustment of a common boundary. For example, a lot line adjustment is appropriate to correct the lot line between two properties when it’s discovered that a neighbors rose garden is encroaching on your property and you agree to shift the boundary. No additional lots are created. The existing parcel may not be reduced in size below the minimum lot standards. The setback standards from the existing structures may not be violated.
