    Storytimes feature stories, songs, fingerplays and a simple craft. Storytimes have different themes so kids can read new books and learn new things every time they visit the library.

    Schedule

    Baby/Toddler (newborn to age 3) - Every Thursday and Friday at 10:00 a.m.

    Preschool (ages 3-6) - Every Thursdays and Fridays at 11:00 a.m.

    Sunset Fire Hall

    January 31, 2009 ~ Saturday Between 6:00am and 5:00pm Temporary Bridge Closure for repairs The historic Oregon City/West Linn arch bridge on Oregon Highway 43, spanning the Willamette River, has been a source of community pride since its opening in December 1922. Today the historically significant bridge is in need of repairs. Although some utility work will occur first, the bridge repairs will begin in the fall of 2009.

    Coming in 2010 - the U.S. Census! What: The next U.S. Census is in 2010. The census is a count of everyone residing in the United States. When: You will receive your questionnaire in March 2010 either by U.S. mail or hand delivery. Why: The U.S. Constitution requires a national census once every ten years to count the population and determine the number of seats each state will have in the U.S. House of Representatives. How: Households should complete and mail back their questionnaires upon receipt.

    The Charter includes the September 17, 2013 voter-approved updates. The West Linn Charter defines the local governing system. In West Linn, the Charter can only be adopted and modified by a majority vote of City residents. In September 2013, West Linn residents approved four amendments to the Charter.

    The West Linn City Council consists of the Mayor and four Councilors who act as the board of directors of the City of West Linn municipal corporation. The Council sets policies for the City Government; enacts ordinances; and hires, directs and evaluates the City Manager.

    Council responsibilities include:

    Develop and set overall policy for the City in response to citizen needs and desires, regional, state and federal laws, and available resources.

    Review and adopt City goals and priorities.
